In all of the above scenarios our experience has taught us that good quality and project management are vital to delivering success. However this must be preceded by a common and clear understanding of the software requirements and other project deliverables and for this to occur there must be a shared responsibility between both the developer and the client.

Often in software, it is only once an initial working model is delivered, does the full potential present itself to the end client and future users. The one immutable thing in the world is change and so at MTEC we accept we have to sometimes embrace shifting and non-fixed user requirements. Techniques such as slice through prototyping, pilots or dividing the project up into small phases where fixed requirements are tackled first are useful techniques for tackling these circumstances.
