/Engineering Synthesis & analysis framework/
For engineering firms that design and manufacture product ranges that are based on a similar generic design but each customised to specific size, material and operational requirements, the MTEC synthesis framework is a software tool that encapsulates the engineering design process. It generates all the drawings, documentation required to manufacture, test and install the product as well as to have the calculations and stress summaries verified by a third party. It can also be tailored to interface with CAM systems.
When implemented for a given product the synthesis software will massively reduce the time it takes to design and manufacture each individual product instance. As it encapsulates all required engineering logic and supporting data, it does not require to be used by design engineers in order to produce the product blueprint thereby freeing up valuable resources for further design work. The alternative method of using software to design product families is to use parametric 3D models but these still require the intervention of expert technical staff and overall the design process is much more complex, time consume and involved.
